Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? We have answers!
Straight answers to what comes up most often when families are considering Assisted Living at Magnolias of Walterboro.
What's actually included in the monthly fee?
We know it helps to see the whole picture up front. Three meals a day plus an evening snack, laundry, housekeeping, activities, and help with daily living tasks are all rolled into one flat monthly rate, so there is nothing extra to keep track of.
Are there different levels of care, and different prices for each?
No, and we did that on purpose. We use a single flat rate rather than tiered levels of care, so a change in your loved one’s needs never comes with a surprise bill.
How do I set up a tour?
Is nursing support available if something comes up?
Always. We have 24-hour onsite nursing support, plus in-house, on-call medical providers, so help is never far away, day or night.
Can residents bring their own furniture?
Absolutely. We know familiar things make a new place feel like home faster. Rooms come furnished, but residents are always welcome to bring their own pieces instead.
Do you offer short-term or trial stays?
We do, and many families find this a wonderful way to ease into the decision. Respite stays are available for a weekend, a week, a month, or longer, depending on availability.
What if my loved one's needs change after they move in?
We simply adjust their care plan in place. There is no need to relocate or start the process over, and we will keep you informed along the way.
Are there hidden fees we should know about?
None. We believe families deserve peace of mind about cost. There are no community or application fees, and no additional levels-of-care charges.
What about special diets?
We take those seriously and gladly accommodate them, so every resident can enjoy their meals without worry.
Can my loved one bring their pet?
Of course. We understand how much comfort a pet can bring. Yes, in private accommodations, as long as they’re able to care for the pet and vaccination records are up to date.
Do you provide transportation?
We do. Scheduled rides to physician appointments, plus shopping trips and outings, so getting where they need to go is never something to worry about.
Will someone help manage medications?
Yes, our team keeps a close and caring eye on medication schedules, so families never have to carry that worry alone.
